About Charles
Commanding, calming and cool are just a few of the words that have been used to describe Charles’s voice. But this was not always the case. As a child, he battled with stuttering which he fought desperately to overcome. But if that was not challenging enough, his voice was so high pitched that he was often mistaken for his mother whenever he would answer the telephone. But that was then, and this is now. Charles’ voice has experienced such a dramatic transformation from the high pitched voice of his youth, to one with such rich resonant tones it has allowed him to play the voice of God in a contemporary stage production of the biblical character Jonah. Now that’s what I call a transformation.
Since conquering these speech challenges Charles has had a 35 year career as a broadcaster, public speaker, writer, pastor and college professor. All careers where his voice is used as a powerful vehicle to get his message across.
